The National Center for Transportation and Industrial Productivity (NCTIP) at New Jersey Institute of Technology  year, one paper is chosen using a refereed process and the winner is awarded $1,000.

Paper Subject

Consistency with NCTIP's theme of transportation and productivity is necessary.

Papers should concentrate on either the efficiency of passenger and freight movement, or facility, institutional and regulatory efficiencies.

Eligibility

Students should be enrolled in a transportation-related academic program or should be conducting research associated with the above subjects.

Only original papers will be accepted. Originality must be verified, in writing, by the student's advisor.

Requirements

The paper must be a maximum length of 15 double-spaced pages, accompanied by an abstract containing no more than 300 words. A cover page should contain the student's name, address, phone number, e-mail address (if available), school and program, academic advisor and source of funding, if any. Five copies of the paper should be submitted.

Selection Criteria

The Committee for Student Paper Awards will review the papers using the following criteria:
Relevance to NCTIP theme
Originality of work
Quality of technical writing
Significance of results

The deadline for next paper submissions will be June 15, 2002.
